Be Sabre Safe!
Sabre is committed to safety on and off the project site. We focus on behavioral safety programs to allow employees, clients and the community to understand the hazards of the job!
Loss Prevention system
Our company utilizes a system called Loss Prevention System, or LPS ™.
LPS was developed by Dr. Jim Bennett, Ph.D and “is a comprehensive management system designed to prevent or reduce losses using behavior-based tools and proven management techniques.” Sabre is the only company in our industry that is licensed to practice LPS.
LPS helps us protect our employees through proactive injury, illness and risk prevention.
It requires personal commitment from each and every employee, as well as visible, outward leadership by all levels of management.
LPS, which is endorsed by the Sabre Executive Team, is founded on the strong belief that Sabre has a responsibility to protect the health and safety of our own staff, our subcontractors and the visitors to our assets and worksites, and to protect the interests of clients, shareholders and other stakeholders.
Stop work authority
Every Sabre employee and subcontractor is empowered to stop work if they feel their safety or the safety of their coworkers, clients, subcontractors, or the public is compromised.
The term STOP WORK, is set up so that if you feel unsafe or suspect that something is not safe all work activities cease so that the activity can be reviewed with all parties.
Partnership With Workcare™
Sabre has partnered with WorkCare™ in an effort to manage potential injury and illnesses by utilizing a management system that provides Sabre with 24/7 telephonic access in the event of an injury.
WorkCare is the nation’s largest physician-owned and managed occupational health services company.
By partnering with WorkCare’s clinical staff of nurses and physicians we are able to get an immediate response and appropriate care to drive safe, effective outcomes.
Timely reporting and proper injury management can be the difference between a first aid case and a recordable incident.
